Hiked in these several miles to go zip lining and glad they held up. Have only used 2 times. Not much padding but are fairly comfortable. For the price, these shoes were what I expected.

I wanted a minimal shoe to protect my feet from oyster beds and tree roots and unseen sea-floor hazards when I started kayaking 10 months ago. These have done the job beautifully, allowing me to get in and out of the kayak on all sorts of ground without worrying about my feet. I’ve walked on top of sharp oysters and not felt a thing. The shoes slip on and off very fast, so they don’t encumber my routine. When I’m back from a paddle, I rinse them off while they’re still on my feet, and leave them outdoors to dry. After ten months of rough use, the shoes are starting to fall apart. I’ve worn them about 50 times, and sometimes left them out in the Florida sun to dry. The stretchy uppers are now fading from black to gray. The “collar” (the ribbon of material surrounding the big hole where your foot goes in) is starting to separate from one of the uppers. A thin cloth lining is peeling away from the top of the removable rubber insole (it started peeling away after just a month or so of use), leaving the exposed rubber a little (but only a little) slimy against the foot.So the shoe could be more durable. But at this price, for the protection it provides my feet and the ease of getting it on and off, it’s been great for me. Now that I am a more experienced and regular kayaker, when this pair of shoes finally wears out, I will probably look first for a pair that’s likely to last, say, 5 times as long and cost only, say, twice as much, without sacrificing protection and ease of slipping on and off. But I’m not sure I’ll find such a pair, and if I don’t, I’ll be pretty happy to reorder a pair of these.Pros:- Protects the sole of your foot from seashells, tree roots, etc.- Light, unbulky, “minimal” shoe- The stretchy upper hugs your foot- Slip on and off easily- Can be rinsed off while still on your foot and left outdoors to dry- Low priceCons:- Could be more durable- The cons that go along with a “minimal” shoe – no arch support, almost no cushioning against things dropped on your toes from above

My family used four pairs of these in the wilds of Puerto Rican rainforest. We walked down a blacktop road up and down a textured concrete steep hill, through mud and tree roots, climbed over rocks, and swam in the rivers with these. They held up so well, and after taking out the inserts, washing the shoes and letting them dry, they all looked like new again. The bottoms were not torn up even from the concrete. They are thin on the bottoms, and I was skeptical when seeing what we had to climb. I thought we’d feel every jagged rock through the bottoms, but it was actually very comforable! Some of us did get a few tiny rocks inside the shoes when swimming and walking along the river bottoms, but that wasn’t worrisome. As a bonus, they lie completely flat when packing so took up no space (or weight) at all!I wear women’s size 8 and found the women’s 7-8 fit nicely.Daughter wears size 7, wore the women’s 7-8, but if we had had time to exchange sizes, probably would have been better with a 5-6. They were a bit big on her, however, they never came off, not swimming or cliff-jumping!Men wear sizes 9 and 10. and the Men’s 9-10 worked nicely for both.Super thrilled with these, especially for the price!

Took these water shoes to a 35 day cruise to Hawaii and the French Polynesia. They were a must have for any day on the water. Lived these shoes. They are super comfortable and a great fit. They fit nicely and snuggly around the top elastic preventing the sand from coming into the shoe. I would wear them even after we were done being in the water because they were just so dang comfortable! Did I mention they look stylish. The value for the money can’t be beat!!

Pretty much as expected; works great as water shoes. I wear women’s size 6 and they fit very well and comfortably. The bottom is pretty thick so you can easily walk on rocky areas near beaches / cliffs. I’ve lost a couple of pairs near the ocean and have re-purchases these same ones!

These are quality water shoes. I go to water aerobics classes 5 days a week, these hold up well.
